Anniston's First Baptist Church at McClellan has a vested interest in missions.
Mission: a ministry commissioned by a religious organization to propagate its faith or carry on humanitarian work
Aside from meeting the needs within our own congregation, we associate ourselves with other groups to make sure that God's love is shared locally as well as around the world. The members of Anniston's First Baptist Church at McClellan are involved personally with mission work at many levels. Our peolple have worked in Calhoun County, other parts of the state, in other states and other countries sharing the Gospel. In addition to working ourselves, we support other groups that are doing missions. Some of the groups that we affiliate with are listed below.
The mission of Calhoun Baptist Association is to enable and assist our family of self-governing churches in cooperating to extend the kingdom of Jesus Christ in their local setting and beyond.

Mission statement of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions is to minister in partnership with churches, associations, state convention entities and the larger Southern Baptist family by fulfilling the Great Commission through reaching and growing faithful disciples of Christ, developing Christian leaders, and mobilizing Alabama Baptists for local and global missions.

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our defined mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States, Canada and U.S. territories in effectively performing these functions. Specifically, we do this by focusing on six major objectives that also form the basis for how this Web site is structured: sharing Christ, starting churches, volunteering in missions, sending missionaries, impacting the culture and equipping leaders. The end goal is reflected in our vision statement: "We see a day when every person in every community in the United States and Canada will have the opportunity to hear the gospel, respond with faith in Christ, and participate in a New Testament fellowship of believers."

The International Mission Board (IMB) is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest evangelical denomination, claiming more than 40,000 churches with nearly 16 million members. IMB's main objective is presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to lead individuals to saving faith in Him and result in church-planting movements among all the peoples of the world.
